A recent polls in Strawpolls indicates that a decorated business man from Kitui East, Hon Jimmy Safi Mulwa is leading in the Kitui Gubernatorial contest. The polls conducted between January 8th and 9th indicated that if elections were held, Safi would be the governor with 52.14 per cent.
The polls also showed that Kitui Central Mp Dr Makali Mulu comes second at 24.79 per cent.
Kitui senator and close ally to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka comes third at 16.24 per cent.
The polls also places Kitui County Women representative Dr Irene Kasalu the last at 6.84 per cent.

A leader is not only respected for his or her intelligence and insight, but their ability to bring the best out of the people around them. A great leader is usually not, and does not want to be, the smartest person in the room.
