The Anzauni National Patron, Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, and his team successfully resolved a long-standing dispute between the Anzauni and Akitondo clans out of court in Ngiini, Kitui Town. The case, initially filed in the Kitui law courts, stemmed from an accident in a member of the Anzauni family. Recognizing the need for a peaceful settlement, the Anzauni clan opted for a traditional mediation process led by Dr. Muli and National Organizing Secretary Mr. Maurice David Mwoni, with the support of the Kitui Central Division leadership.

After thorough discussions, both clans reached a mutual agreement on compensation for the injured worker. The Anzauni clan members collectively raised the agreed-upon amount, which was officially handed over during a reconciliation ceremony. This approach helped the families involved avoid prolonged legal battles and reinforced the importance of community-driven solutions. The settlement process demonstrated the effectiveness of ADR in resolving disputes amicably while preserving inter-clan relations.

The peace-making event, presided over by Dr. Muli and Mr. Mwoni, underscored the relevance of traditional justice mechanisms in maintaining harmony within the community. Clan elders played a crucial role in ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the negotiations. The successful resolution highlighted the enduring role of clan leadership in fostering unity and restoring relationships outside the formal legal system.

Following this achievement, Dr. Kyalo Muli is now encouraging other clans with pending court cases—particularly those involving land and family disputes—to consider withdrawing them and seeking out-of-court settlements. He emphasized that resolving conflicts through traditional methods not only saves time and resources but also strengthens communal bonds. Local leaders and residents praised the initiative, reaffirming their commitment to preserving indigenous conflict-resolution practices in Kitui County.
