Former education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Albert Omore Magoha is dead. He died at the age of 71.
According to the family, he suffered a cardiac arrest while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.His death was confirmed by his wife Dr Barbra Magoha who revealed that he had been rushed to the hospital on Tuesday morning after falling ill.
Magoha’s last public appearance was when he handed over the functions of the Ministry of Education to his successor, Ezekiel Machogu.

George Magoha was born in 1952.He was a Kenyan consultant surgeon, academic administrator and technocrat, who served as a professor of surgery at Maseno University School of Medicine, in Kisumu County, western Kenya, until his demise.
