Azimio leader Raila Odinga during his speech at a burial ceremony held in Mutuni, Kitui Central at Prof Makau’s home revealed that former Kitui Governor Hon Charity Kaluli Ngilu is ill and is currently admitted at Hospital that’s why she could not attend the burial ceremony of Prof Makau’s Brother.
“Naleta rambirambi kutoka kwa ndugu yetu Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Hakuweza kufika niliongea na yeye jana na Leo asubui akaniambia nitakuwa hapa na Super senator Enoch Kiio, tena naleta rambi rambi ya mama charity kaluki Ngilu niliongea na yeye usiku akasema yeye ameugua na hawezi kufika hapa siku ya Leo,”. Mr. Raila said.
Mr. Odinga, who led the coalition’s leaders to the burial ceremony in Mutuni, Kitui Central, termed the deputy president’s remarks as reckless and divisive.
“Ati sisi sasa tuko na shares….shares tutaangalia wewe, kama hukukuwa na sisi utakuwa kando kwanza..ati wale walipiga kura ndio watakuwa mbele huko. Na sio ni kama mzaha, wanafanya namna hiyo. Kila Mkenya anatoa ushuru,” said the former premier.
Present was the Hon Martha Karua, Hon Eugene Wamalwa, Senator Enoch Wambua, Kitui Deputy Governor H.E Augustine Kanani, Kitui speaker Hon Kevin Kinengo Katisya and a section of Kitui County MCAs, among other leaders.
