A bright but needy pupil in Migwani Mwingi West has something to smile about after Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development, Peninah Malonza (EGH) fully sponsors her to join Itoloni secondary school.
Rhoda Katwii Who scored 329 marks in Syomungele primary school, and managed to be the top pupil in her school but risking to fail joining secondary school due to poverty. Speaking to press, Rose Kasyoka Mwangangi, Rhoda’s mother said she couldn’t be able to enroll at either of the schools due to a lack of funds.
Katwii in her statement lauded and expressed her gratitude to Waziri Penina Malonza for sponsoring her, promising to work hard and never let her down.
“I wish to proceed with my education to a higher level so that I can achieve my academic dreams of being a doctor and support my mother and siblings”, she added.
In her sweet statements, the young lady confidently and touchingly expressed herself by telling the Waziri how he had changed her life after awarding her a scholarship that paved the way for her to continue her education.
“I’m young, and I lack things to give in return but I know the God that I pray never slumbers. He will lift Waziri from a point that she will also be astonished,” Rhoda added.
