The Ministry of East African Community (EAC), Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs), and Regional Development has recently made a significant appointment. Mr. Munyasya Nzese, also known as Wanzese, has been appointed as the Director of Communications for the ministry.
Mr. Nzese hails from Voo/Kyamatu ward in Kitui East constituency and boasts an impressive career in communications. He has worked with several prominent organizations, including the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU), where he served from October 2011 to January 2014.
He also held the position of Pioneer Director of Communications for the County Government of Kitui for over five years, from February 2014 to February 2019. Additionally, he has experience working with the Ministry of Information and Communications and has served as an editor for Nyota ya Mashariki and as a Bureau Chief for the Kenya News Agency.
On the educational front, Mr. Nzese is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Nairobi, where he earned a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from 2012 to 2014.
He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communications from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Technology Management Studies from Moi University.
The appointment has garnered praise and confidence from those who have worked closely with Mr. Nzese.
