DG Kanani Hosted Team From Compassion International Based In Kenya

_Wednesday, 15 March, 2023_ Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Kanani earlier today hosted a team from Compassion International based in Kenya, led by the Partnership Manager Coast and Lower Eastern Region James Mutuku, who paid him a courtesy call at his office in Kitui.

In Kitui County, the organization is operating in 37 churches of different denominations, with care centers to support over 10,000 vulnerable children and their care givers,* engaging in transformative child advocacy and holistic child development, particularly for children living in extreme poverty by equipping them with the skills and resources needed to be resilient in the years to come.

The county government under the leadership of H.E Dr. Julius Malombe is rolling out various projects and is ready to bring on board all development partners to help improve the livelihood of Kitui residents across the County, keenly avoiding duplication of projects, in areas where the county government and her development partners are in operation.

The organization which is currently undertaking economic empowerment projects in Community Development, Nutrition, Health screening, Cash transfers, Water and Agriculture, is seeking ways of partnership,with the county government on water provision through sinking Boreholes and construction of Sand dams.

Others present were Partnership Manager for Central Rift Valley and Upper Eastern region Mr Caleb Munyoki, Partnership Facilitator in Kitui Central and Kitui South Mr Peter Mutuku and Partnership Facilitator in charge of Kilifi County Mr commonde Adunga .
