A recent incident on the busy Mutha Katolongweni road to Mutomo has sparked chaos and concern for the local community. Seven Kenya Power poles, a transformer, and live wires are now perilously obstructing the path, rendering it impassable and raising grave safety concerns.
The live transformer’s collapse has effectively shut down the vital Mutha-Mutomo road, causing major inconvenience to commuters and residents alike. Urgent intervention from Kenya Power is imperative to not only restore access but also to ensure the safety of the public.
The gravity of the situation has prompted the Mutha Member of County Assembly (MCA) hon Dominic Mwamisi to call for an immediate emergency response team to take action. The community is appealing to Kenya Power from Kibwezi to swiftly respond to this crisis and expedite the removal of the obstruction to allow the road to reopen.
