Former CS for EAC, ASALS, and Regional Development Hon. Peninah Malonza, Chief Officer for Agriculture and Fisheries Gladys Mami Kivoto, Ikanga/Kyatune MCA Hon. Cyrus Musyoka alias Sonko, and NARC Nominated MCA Charity Mwangangi graced a vibrant and colorful ceremony where the family of Eng. Humphrey Mobutu Fundi visited the family of Kwa Mbole Muthwii for a thanksgiving ceremony held at Kyandulu Village, Mosa in Kisasi Ward, Kitui County.
Addressing the attendees, former CS Peninah Malonza emphasized the importance of marriage and stable families, highlighting that strong homes are the foundation of a thriving society. She encouraged families and young couples to uphold cultural values and continue fostering unity and mutual respect. Waziri Malonza further called on the residents to rally behind President William Ruto’s government, appreciating its commitment to grassroots development, and urged Kitui residents to warmly welcome the President during his anticipated development tour in the region.
Chief Officer Mami Kivoto, while addressing the gathering, urged the youth to show love and support for the elderly, stressing the need to ensure smooth and dignified aging for the senior members of society. She cited her own initiative of sharing Christmas Eve goodies with the elderly every year as an example of ways to honor and care for the aged. Additionally, Mami encouraged the locals to embrace a culture of appreciating and recognizing acts of kindness, strengthening social bonds within the community.
The ceremony brought together leaders, families, and residents, blending tradition with messages of unity, gratitude, and civic responsibility, leaving a memorable mark on all who attended.
