Waziri Fredrick Kimanga for Lands, Housing and Urban Development widely known as Generali Kimanga, joined thousands of mourners in Kauwi Ward, Kitui West Constituency, during the burial of the late Benjamin Mutinda Kimithi.
Kimanga, in his heartfelt address, expressed his deepest condolences to the grieving family, friends, and neighbors, acknowledging the profound loss of a beloved member of the community. His presence, alongside other dignitaries, underscored the significant impact Benjamin had on those around him.
The late Benjamin Mutinda Kimithi lived a robust and healthy life until January 2020, when his health took a sudden turn. Following medical examinations, he was diagnosed with advanced stage IV cancer. Despite his courageous battle, which involved treatments at various medical facilities and dedicated palliative care provided by medical professionals, his loving wife, and his children, Benjamin peacefully passed away in the mid-morning hours of November 16, 2024. His journey highlighted both his resilience and the unwavering support of his family.
The burial ceremony was marked by the presence of notable figures, including Chief risk management and security officer Safaricom PLC Nicholas Muinde Mulila, Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse, representatives from USAID, Immigration officials, and members of JCG Kenya. Their attendance not only paid tribute to the late Benjamin but also demonstrated solidarity with the family and the community during this difficult time. The event served as a poignant reminder of the value of family, friendship, and communal support in navigating life’s challenges.
