On Tuesday 30th January 2023, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development, Peninah Malonza (EGH) reiterated the Government resolve to address the plight of the youth in Kenya through various youth empowerment initiatives.
CS Malonza said the Kenya Kwanza Government under President William Ruto has embarked on multiple approaches to ensure the youth gain employment and access full engagement in various economic sectors.
Ms Malonza was speaking today when he addressed leaders of the Kitui County Liberation Team who paid her a courtesy call in her office.
She urged the youth to not only identify the various beneficial general development projects pioneered by the Kenya Kwanza Government for all the citizens but also the specific projects targeting the youth in Kenya in the traditional socio-economic sectors as well as the emerging ones such as the digital economy.
Led by their Chairman Eng. Patrick Kasimu, the youth empowerment lobby group sought the support of the CS Malonza in lobbying for empowerment and development projects targeting the youth in Kitui County.
The group affirmed their support to President Ruto and the entire Kenya Kwanza Government.
CS Malonza hailed the group for their bold steps in youth sensitisation and advocacy for empowerment and challenged them to not only support but also exploit all the government initiatives in Ukambani and beyond to transform their lives.
