The Kitui CECM for Education, Training and Skills Development Joyce Titus on Thursday October 2023, attended various village-level FY2023/2024 CLIDP, sand dams and Pro-poor fee support program public participation forums to appreciate progress of the countywide exercise.
The CECM told wananchi that Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s administration was keen to support education in Kitui through ambitious ECDE and vocational training infrastructure development as well as fees support for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.
She indicated that the Pro-poor fees support programme has been allocated Sh.86.4 million to support education of needy learners in the 2023/2024 financial year.
The County Minister interacted with residents of Kyaasa, Kavaa, Kivuti, Katothya, Kavingo and Nzaiini villages who had turned up to present their views on this year’s Community Level Infrastructure Development Programme and identification of Pro-poor fees support beneficiaries and sand dams construction sites.
The consequent validation meetings will be held tomorrow in all the 40 Wards.
