The collaboration between the county governments and the judiciary is imperative, Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe (EGH) has said.
Speaking today when he held talks with the Judicial Service Commission officials led by Mr Macharia Njeru – an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya representing the LSK, and Judges Mohamed Warsame and David Majanja, Governor Malombe said county governments and the judiciary share a common interest in serving Kenyans.
He said that “the JSC is mandated to promote and facilitate the independence and accountability of the judiciary and the efficient, effective and transparent administration of Justice in Kenya” while commending the judiciary for the public trust and confidence by Kenyans over the years.
Justice Majanja on his side said the judiciary is delivering services premised on the Chief Justice vision on the People-Centred Justice in Kenya to Secure Social Transformation through Access to Justice’.
On his part, Justice War same said the commission is meeting court users across the country to interact with them and share their experience in the strive to uphold an accountable system in the country.
Kitui High Court Judge Robert Limo said judiciary was on the verge of ensuring that every constituency has a court across the country to devolve Justice to all.
The County Government of Kitui has allocated a two acre piece of land to the judiciary for public utilities in efforts to ensure accessibility of judicial services to the residents.
