NCBA Bank has expanded its presence in Kitui County with the launch of a new branch in Kitui Town. This opening is part of NCBA’s larger strategy to expand into underserved regions and bring its full range of financial services closer to local customers. With the new branch, the bank aims to meet the growing demand for reliable and accessible banking solutions in Kitui and support the local economy’s growth.

The Kitui Town branch will offer a comprehensive suite of NCBA’s services, including online and mobile banking, asset financing, business loans, and personalized advisory solutions. By providing these digital and tailored financial services, NCBA aims to empower local entrepreneurs and small business owners, contributing to the economic development of the region.

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, who officially graced the launch, commended NCBA for choosing Kitui as part of its growth strategy. He stressed the essential role banks play in development, from providing credit and advisory services to fostering entrepreneurship. “The launch of NCBA’s Kitui branch is a welcome addition to our financial landscape, offering new opportunities for our people to access reliable financial services,” Governor Malombe said.

Governor Malombe further urged banks to focus on providing affordable and accessible credit options, essential for fostering financial inclusion and supporting small businesses. He expressed hope that NCBA’s presence would enhance Kitui County’s economic landscape, promoting growth and stability in the region.

During the launch, Catherine Syovata, NCBA’s Group Director in charge of legal governance, highlighted the bank’s commitment to integrating with the local community. “We are investing in Kitui’s future by opening this branch, and I’m proud to announce that we’ve hired eight staff members from Kitui to ensure we are rooted in the community we serve,” Syovata said.

Syovata also noted that the branch’s early success reflects the community’s trust in NCBA’s offerings. “We’re already serving 668 customers in Kitui, which shows the strong interest in our products, including construction loans, fixed deposits, money market accounts, and trade finance services,” she shared. She added that the bank’s presence is helping to address the financial needs of the community in meaningful ways.

To deepen engagement with its customers, NCBA is implementing strategies like daily market activations and personalized financial consultations. “We’re here not just to provide services but to truly connect with our customers and make a positive impact on their financial journeys,” Syovata emphasized.

Tirus Mwithiga, NCBA’s Group Director of Retail Banking, also attended the opening, expressing his enthusiasm for the expansion. “The launch of our Kitui Town branch is a milestone for both NCBA and the people of Kitui County. It’s an opportunity to drive economic growth by making financial services accessible to all,” Mwithiga remarked.

Urbanus Muthoka, the branch manager of NCBA Kitui, emphasized the importance of NCBA’s mission to empower local communities. “Kitui has immense potential, and we are here to support that growth. This branch represents our commitment to helping customers achieve their dreams and realize new opportunities,” Muthoka noted.
