The traditional ceremony, held at Misuuni Village within Kyalo’s palatial residence, was marked by pomp and vibrant colors, underscoring its cultural significance.
The attendance of high-profile Ukambani politicians at Kyalo Muli’s Installation Ceremony as the new Anzauni Clan kingpin on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, signifies both strong support for Kyalo Muli and the significant impact of the event on the region’s political dynamics.
Among the attendees was former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi SONKO, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development, Penina Malonza (EGH), director of coordination statehouse Bonnie Musambi, Mlango Kubwa MCA Patricia Mutheu, UDA nominated MCA Frida Maua, former Yatta Kwavonza MCA Mbaki Mbaki, Chairmans of Akamba Clans, delegates from different regions, including one representing the Digo people from the coast.
Anzauni clan is indeed one of the largest kin organization in Kamba land, estimated to be over 400,000 clan members nationwide.
