Parents and guardians are up and down purchasing necessities required for admitting their children to Form One beginning next week, and it is costly.
Whereas some are having it easy, some financially disadvantaged guardians are having a rough time while purchasing these school items.
Privy to the situation, the selfless Nzambani MCA in Kitui East Constituency, Hon Joseph Musyoka famously known as MAMEN has come through for his ward residents offering a box to over 200 pupils joining form one in boarding schools. However only those who attained 300 marks and above were eligible to get the reward from the area MCA.
Speaking to Hopkin Reporter the MCA said he chose to buy boxes as away of promoting and improving education status as well as to ease the guardians’ financial burden of the Form One admission boarding requirements in Nzambani ward.
“It’s our responsibility as a community to make sure the future of our kids is safe and well cultivated and motivated towards archiving their God-given potential. One ingredient towards realising this is education.”
