The super Ikanga Kyatune Member of kitui County Assembly Hon. Cyrus Musyoka SONKO graced the commissioning of Syomisyi-mesilya-enzou-ngunini-kisayani (SMEK )water project funded by Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) in partnership with Kitui County Government.
The project is will to supply piped water from Syomisyi, Ithumula sub-location, to other parts and over 5000 residents will benefit from the water project.
The project which will be done in two phases, will see water challenges countered permanently in Syomisyi, Nguuni, Semea, Mesilya, Enzou, Yathi, Ngwani, Ngunini and over 9000 residents will be beneficiaries.
Speaking during the event Hon Sonko said in his term he will address water challenges facing people in ward.
“My residents will no longer have to trek for kilometers or spend long hours in search of water for domestic use and their animals”, He said.
