“I’M COMMITTED TO WORKING WITH COUNTY ASSEMBLIES” – CS MALONZA

Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage Hon. Peninah Malonza yesterday held a consultative meeting with MCAs from Kitui County. The discussions explored and highlighted areas of mutual interest between the County and the National Government such as the acceleration of compensation of victims of human-wildlife conflict and the use of preventive measures such as fencing of game reserves and parks in the county.The cs further urged the County leadership to create enabling environment for investors in the tourism sector and foster closer cooperation between the County Government of Kitui and the National Government. “I’m committed to working with County Assemblies in areas of legislation necessary to stimulate tourism, wildlife, and culture sectors in line with the government’s bottom-up economic agenda.’’ She said.

Led by the Assembly Speaker Hon. Kelvin Katisya Kinengo, the Ward bosses affirmed their support to the cs and promised to work closely with her to bring to an end human-wildlife conflicts that have been witnessed in different areas of Kitui County.
