“You’ll Never Be Governor, You’ll Never Be President”: Kalonzo Musyoka, Hassan Omar in War of Words
Hassan Omar, who is part of the Kenya Kwanza team, has been constantly engaged in verbal scuffles with those from the Azimio La Umoja side.
The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) legislator is on record exchanging with embattled Jubilee secretary-general Jeremiah Kioni before later taking on the DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa.
Kalonzo would be the latest victim of Omar’s obstinacy in the glare of the cameras during one of the committee’s sessions on Tuesday, October 3.
It all started when a civil society representative who was making his presentations before the committee suggested that the elections in Kenya are rigged.
Seeking to deflate the belief, Omar mentioned that there was a constant factor that had troubled every election with the claim of being rigged out; he seemed to be referencing former prime minister Raila Odinga. The EALA MP implied that it was not a coincidence that every election Raila had lost would said to have been flawed.
Coming to the Azimio La Umoja leader’s defence, Kalonzo underscored Raila’s wins had been snatched from him. He accused Kalonzo of demonizing Raila in the course of the talks
“Let us avoid demonizing. I have listened to Omar over time saying one constant factor and another. I want you to know one of those constant factors has been sitting here with you. I was a running mate to Raila in 2013 and 2017,” said Kalonzo.
