Former Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu, ASAL cabinet secretary Penina Malonza and Kitui Central Lawmaker are among Kitui Leaders attending burial ceremony of James Malombe famously known as Musungu Kyumbe who was working at mbaitu Fm as radio presenter.
The Ukambani king of the airwaves Musungu Kyumbe ( The Real White Man) joined the media fraternity in July 2007 where he worked as a radio presenter with several media houses including Syokimau f.m, Athiani f.m and currently Mbaitu F.M where he was working till his demise.
The late Musungu Kyumbe enjoyed a good health until March 2020, when he started ailing and was diagnosed with kidney failure at K.N.H and later with skin cancer in 2022. He was treated and admitted severally in different medical facilities including M pshah, Jamaa hospital, Medihill and K.N.H where he underwent several medical surgeries.
Musungu battled with the above conditions until 28/11/2023 when he succumbed at 7am in K.N.H where he was still undergoing treatment. Jimmy you have fought a good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith. You may have physically departed but forever in our hearts you remain.
The late Jimmy Malombe got married to Ann Ndanu in November 2013 and they were blessed with two daughters namely, Jesicah and Favour Mutheu. Musungu Kyumbe was a devoted Christian and a congregant of the A.I.C Umoja in Nairobi.
