The members of County Assembly of Kitui have today on Monday 23rd Jan 2022 met for Consideration of the Annual Development Plan for the financial year 2023/2024 and preparations for vetting of Chief Officers for various County ministries. This comes after the Assembly conducted its public participation on the ADP last week. The sectoral committees are set to vet the chief officers next week. The meeting was officially opened by the majority leader Hon. Harrison Maluki – (MCA MIGWANI WARD) In one of the comfortable Hotels in Kitui earlier today.
The assembly is set to kick off the vetting process at 8:00 Am with the CECM for Education, Joyce Titus and later of the 26 Chief officers nominees who were nominated by Kitui Governor Dr Malombe end last year.

The speaker Hon Kevin Katisya Kinengo on Monday, 16th January 2023, during the county assembly special sitting committed the 26 names of county Chief Officers Nominees to the assembly sectoral committee for vetting.
Kinengo said the vetting of the CECM for Education as well as the vetting of Chief Officers will be of great importance the house to undertake that business for the benefits of the great people of Kitui.” On 30th and 31st January 2023 we shall have vetting process of nominees for the positions of Kitui County Chief Officers and the one CECM for Education and Skills Development”, Kinengo said.
