A section of Kitui leaders from Kitui graced a colorful dowry payment event of a renown journalist, Shadrack Munyoki Ilava, that was held in Mulutu, Kyangwithya west ward of Kitui central.
The leaders, who are a close ally of Ilava included Kitui Senator Enock Kiio, Mwingi North MP, Eng.Paul Nzengu, Kitui Agriculture CECM, Mbaya Kimwele and Kyangwithya West MCA and the Kitui Deputy speaker, Nzilu Nzioka.
The veteran journalist was paying the bride price for his beautiful wife, Elizabeth Mutua whom they together have two children.
Other leaders who were expected to attend but didn’t make it are Hon Charles Nguna, Mwingi west MP who was not in the country, Hon. Rachael Nyamai Kaki, Kitui south MP, Dr. Makali Mulu among others.Tens of renown journalists who also work with different media houses graced the event.
They included his colleagues from Musyi fm, Jackson Muli, Alphonse Nzomo Mbithi and Mark Mutuku, Brenda Mwende of K24, Linah Musangi and Ben Musau of Mutongoi tv, Brian Mwangangi from County fm, Dennis Tova of Athiani FM, Raphael Mulatya of Sang’u fm, Emmanuel Maleve of Hopkin Digital Media, Paul Mutua of the Standard, Akamba fm reporters among others.
