Kitui Minority Leader and Miambani MCA, Hon. Alex Nganga, joined Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection, Dr. Alfred Mutua, at the National Job Recruitment Program held at Mulango Technical Vocational College. The program, aimed at providing meaningful opportunities for youth employment, marked a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by young Kenyans in their pursuit of jobs. The event showcased the government’s commitment to empowering communities and improving livelihoods.

In his address, Hon. Nganga applauded Dr. Mutua for launching the initiative in Ukambani, a region often overlooked in national programs. He commended the CS for ensuring transparency in overseas job recruitment processes, thus protecting Kenyan youth from exploitation. Nganga emphasized that Mutua’s dedication to the youth demonstrated his genuine concern for their welfare and his commitment to creating equitable opportunities for all.

Hon. Nganga also praised Dr. Mutua’s political acumen, describing him as a visionary leader who has consistently ensured that the Kamba community is represented in government. He urged the community to support the administration in power, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration. “We don’t want you to be lonely in that government. We want also to be in that government,” Nganga remarked, underscoring the need for strategic alliances to advance the region’s interests.

Acknowledging Dr. Mutua as the senior-most Kamba leader in the current government, Nganga expressed confidence in his ability to champion development, education, and employment for the community. He urged the CS to prioritize these areas, reiterating that the government in power is best positioned to deliver tangible benefits. Nganga’s remarks reflected the community’s hope for inclusive development under Mutua’s leadership.

Nganga concluded by recalling Dr. Mutua’s achievements as Machakos Governor, highlighting his transformative projects, particularly in infrastructure development. “We saw what you did in Machakos County when you were the governor, the only governor who was seen tarmacking roads,” he said. This tribute resonated with the audience, reinforcing Dr. Mutua’s legacy as a results-driven leader capable of addressing the region’s pressing needs.
