Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki On Saturday 11th February 2023 Officially opened Mutito North Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Kitui County and operationalised a new Division- Kaliku in the Sub-County.
Speaking during the event Kindiki promised More police posts will be established and the OCPD will be provided with a motor vehicle in order to enhance service delivery.
“I’m directing the DCC here to make sure that the Officers in other departments to start a mobile service in kaliku”, CS Kindiki added .
Kitui women Representative Dr Irene Kasalu in her speech told CS Kindiki that Kitui county needs a rescue center due to increased rape and gender based violence cases in the community which are solved by village elders.
“When we have more administrative units our people are served better because the services are near to our people and also creation of jobs to our youths”, Dr Kasalu added.
The CS has also urged electorates to work hand and hand with administrators and Chief make sure any kenyan child resides in the country is enrolled in primary and junior secondary education.
