Kitui teachers sacco Society Members have vowed to collect 2500 signatures in order to overthrow the Society’s board of directors led by the Chairman Rev Augustus Munuve, Vice Chairman Tony Kilonzo, Treasurer Muema Munyoki, Isaiah Masya Hon Secretary and Alfred Mutua, Pheles Mathenge, Janet Kasina, Charles Muema, and Samson Kinyaika Members due to several burning issues.
1.Change of the Sacco’s Name.
2. Serving retired Board of director (Isiah Kilonzo Masya – Hon Secretary)
3. Delegate system in the sacco.
4. Early AGM lunch payout.
The angry Sacco members shut up the speech of their chairman Rev. Munuve while reading the Annual report and financial statements for the ended 31st December 2022 to the members.
The speaking to Hopkin Digital On Saturday 29th January 2023, During the 46th Annual General Meeting held at Ithookwe primary school – Kitui, a section of members said that they want a fresh board of directors with youthful members.
“we appeal to all members to give out their signatures at least 2500 members so we liberate our sacco from these dictators”, They added.

According to the members they received the lunch for the AGM and their dividends on the previous day, Friday 27th January so that they may not attend the meeting.The chairman unveiled that In the year 2022 the society lost 86 members.
The Society has over 32,000 active members and over 8900 dormant members. Present during the 46th Annual General meeting was a good number of members, Members of the board and supervisory, Kitui Teachers Sacco employees, KNUT officials Kitui County, CIC Officials, Kuscco Officials And Chief Guest Hon John Munuve – Chairman Sasra.
