Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe (EGH) has called on leaders to cease “promoting lies, propaganda and biased information for political gain” in their engagement with the public.

While speaking in Mwingi Hospital during a stopover earlier today, the Governor said that one of his “foremost roles was to unite Kitui people and lead them through the path of development “.

The Governor’s remarks come amidst recent uproar over remarks by individual (s) who had opposed the county government’s appointment of Dr Hellen Munyao to replace Dr. Mumo, with Kennedy Vundi as his deputy.

The county chief said it was improper for any leader (s) to lie to the members of the public about very qualified medical practitioners of good standing noting that would cheapen their integrity and the offices they occupy as leaders and their future ambitions.

Governor Malombe commended Doctors Hellen and Vundi for conquering falsehoods, fabrications and propaganda meant to demean their profession and taking over their duties as asigned.

The Governor said his government will continue working with development partners to realize a robust healthcare for the residents in his strive to realize “The Kitui Promise”.

THE END///
