Machakos DG Urges Ukambani to Reject Leaders Who Betrayed Kalonzo by Visiting State House

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has urged the people of Ukambani to vote out any leader from the region, especially those elected under the Wiper Democratic Movement, who went to State House for a so-called broader meeting. He termed such visits as acts of betrayal and disrespect to Kalonzo Musyoka’s leadership and the collective aspirations of the Kamba people. According to Mwangangi, true leadership lies in standing firm with the community’s chosen path, not in seeking political favors at the expense of regional unity and dignity.

Speaking at Muuna Farm in Tseikuru, Kalonzo’s rural home, during a high-profile Wiper leaders’ forum, Mwangangi called on the Kamba community to fully support Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential ambitions. He emphasized that the region must now allow Kalonzo to traverse the country as their official flag bearer in the coalition expected to be formed in the near future. Mwangangi underscored that this is the right moment for the Wiper leader to rise to national leadership with the full backing of his community.

The Wiper Democratic Movement forum, themed #OneNationOnePeople, brought together grassroots mobilizers, elected leaders, and national political figures in a powerful show of unity. Mwangangi noted that the event was not just symbolic but a strategic gathering meant to strengthen the foundation for Kalonzo’s 2027 presidential bid. He maintained that only through unity can the Kamba community secure a seat at the national decision-making table.

He reiterated that Kalonzo Musyoka remains the undisputed political kingpin in Ukambani. “When Kalonzo speaks, the community listens and follows,” he said, dismissing those who attempt to challenge Kalonzo’s authority. Mwangangi urged leaders in the region to stop playing divisive politics and instead rally behind one of their own. He insisted that 2027 presents a historic opportunity for the Kamba people to make Kalonzo the sixth President of the Republic of Kenya.
