After staging worthy competition in the concluded 2023 Kenya Inter-County Sports Association (KYISA) games at Tharaka-Nithi county and emerging victorious, the Makueni team was on Thursday celebrated by H.E governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr Governor Mutula who was elated by the Steller performance put forth by the teams announced youth programmes by his administration including the construction of a talent center in Wote that can accommodate both outdoor and indoor sports activities, strategic partnerships for sports sponsorship, and promotions in the county.
The teams brought at least 9 trophies to Makueni. The governor promised that the youth will be considered for opportunities as a way of promoting talents within the county.
