The unfortunate incident resulted in a fracture, prompting concern among fellow lawmakers and staff. While the injury was not severe, it highlighted potential safety hazards within the Assembly premises.
Following the accident, County Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya called on all MCAs and staff members to exercise greater vigilance while within the Assembly precincts. He urged members to keep Hon. Wanza in their prayers and expressed gratitude for their unity and support during the challenging moment. His message underscored the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring safety within the institution.
In his remarks, the Speaker also stressed the urgent need to fast-track the construction of an office block to create a safer and more conducive working environment for both MCAs and staff.
