President William Ruto’s Economic Advisor, Hon. Moses Kuria, today toured the Nairobi County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) in Mathare along Thika Road. He was accompanied by Nairobi City County CECM for Business and Hustler Opportunities, Dr. Anastasia Nyalita, Chief Officer for Markets and Trade, Jane Wangùi, and other county officials.
During the visit, Hon. Kuria was taken through the progress and vision of the industrial park, a transformative initiative under the leadership of Governor Johnson Sakaja. The project aims to provide a structured space for aggregating, processing, and promoting locally made products, boosting entrepreneurship and industrialization in the city.
Impressed by the initiative, Hon. Kuria emphasized the need for close collaboration between the National Government’s technical team and Nairobi County’s technical experts to maximize the park’s potential. He suggested that the park should serve as a hub for high-quality products made in Nairobi, branding it as the ‘Kenya Centre’ and dubbing it the ‘Nairobi Home of Innovation.’
Governor Sakaja’s administration, under the guidance of CECM Dr. Anastasia Nyalita and Chief Officer Jane Wangùi, has been instrumental in driving this ambitious project. Their commitment to structured trade and economic empowerment continues to position Nairobi as a center for innovation and industrial growth.
This initiative aligns with the governor’s broader vision of making Nairobi a city of order, dignity, and economic opportunity. With strong partnerships between the county and the national government, the Nairobi County Aggregation and Industrial Park is set to become a game-changer in promoting local manufacturing and trade.
