Kitui East lawmaker Hon Nimrod Mbai on Wednesday led other leaders in grieving the late Mzee Syengo Mwasya, father of Micheal Kyalo Syengo famously known as Kyenda Ndeto at Makongo village in Mwitika location.
On the 29th day of march 2023, Zombe Mwitika ward hosted great political leaders both sitting and those who were aspirants in the past general election 2022. These leaders had attended a burial ceremony of the chairman of Akitondo Clan.
The late Mzee Syengo Mwasya was the chairman of Akitondo Clan in Mwitika location since 1986 till his demise .
Mr Mwasya died aged 81. He was buried next to his lovely wife.
The late Syengo Mwasya got sick in the year 2010 and since then he has been in different hospitals like Bagathi hospital, mutomo mission hospital, Zombe mission, Zombe level III hospital and Kitui referral hospital.
Present during the burial ceremony was MP aspirant mulaimu, MCAs, Members of the media, County FM fraternity, hundreds of Mourners from the society.
