A middle aged man is receiving treatment at Mwingi level 4 hospital, in Mwingi town after being cornered and clobbered merciless by angry mob in Mwingi town.
Confirming the incident,Abdi Kadir Malicha, Mwingi central Sub county Police commander, said the man was stealing clothes from the hanging lines at a rental house in Mwingi town.
Tenants occupying the house cornered him,screamed for help where neighbors among other locals immediately showed up.
However, police officers from Mwingi police station rescued him from the angry mob and rushed him to Mwingi level 4 hospital where he’s currently receiving medical attention in a critical condition.
