Over 1000 Muslims Households in Machakos town benefits with State Foodstuffs during the Holy month of Ramadan

On Monday, 25th March 2024, the esteemed Cabinet Secretary for EAC, ASALs, and Regional Development, Hon. Penina Malonza, generously donated assorted foodstuffs to fasting Muslims in Machakos County. This commendable gesture aims to support over 1,000 households in Machakos town Constituency during the Holy month of Ramadan.

The beneficiaries received a variety of essential food items, including maize and wheat flour, rice, pasta, sugar, tea leaves, salt, and cooking oil. Residents, such as Mama Halima Mutua from Mjini slums in Machakos town, expressed gratitude, noting that the food provided would sustain their households throughout the remainder of Ramadan.

Hon. Malonza emphasized that this initiative, conceived by President William Ruto, seeks to promote religious observance, alleviate financial strain, foster social inclusion, and demonstrate the government’s commitment to fairness, empathy, and unity among all citizens.
