Former Super CS Peninah Malonza has called on the youth to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to register as voters as the first week draws to a close. She said youth participation in the electoral process is key to shaping the county leadership and securing a better future for generations to come.
Speaking during an engagement forum at Mutomo Grounds held alongside the ongoing Volleyball Cup Tournament that brought together teams from Kitui and Makueni counties, Malonza emphasized that registering as a voter is the first step for young people to have a voice in determining the leadership and future of Kitui County and Kenya at large.
Waziri Malonza applauded the players for their teamwork, talent, and discipline, noting that sports play a vital role in nurturing character, promoting unity, and strengthening social ties across counties. She encouraged the youth to use sports as a platform for positive change and leadership development within their communities.
She further assured the young people of her continued support in empowering them through sports, leadership, and community initiatives, reaffirming her commitment to champion youth inclusion in governance and development. Malonza urged the youth to remain focused, united, and proactive in building a better future through both civic participation and community engagement.
