On Thursday 13th July 2023, Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe (EGH) hosted President Dr William Ruto at Ciampiu, Tharaka ward of Kitui county where he issued the residents with more than 10,000 title deeds and assured the public that Kenya Kwanza government is committed to implement the bottom up economic transformation agenda.
The issuance of title deeds to thousands of Thagicu area residents will minimise disputes and assign value to property, paving the way for productive use of land.
This development will also permit holders to use the document as collateral in securing loans to finance their businesses.
Governor Malombe in his remarks asked President to support and collaboration in constructing the Nzamba Kitonga memorial hospital, expedite water projects like the grand falls, wikithuki irrigation, Kiambere and the dams earmarked in the county to be done.
The county Boss also asked president to accelerate completion of Kibwezi – Kabati – Mbondoni road for the residents to reap benefits of road connectivity.
“Your Excellency I want to remind you the need to have a KMTC campus at Mutitu that will also partner with the nzamba Kitonga memorial hospital in supporting healthcare in the area and the county at large”, said county boss.
The event was graced by several Cabinet Secretaries and members of parliament among others national and local leaders.
