Relief for Boniface Mwangangi’s Family as MP Irene Kasalu Clears Overwhelming Hospital Bill

521

The family of Boniface Mwangangi, a 25-year-old from Kiomo Kyethani Ward in Mwingi West Constituency, finally has something to smile about after Kitui County Women Representative, Dr. Irene Kasalu, stepped in to clear his hospital bill.

Mwangangi had been hospitalized at Mwingi Level IV Hospital after developing a severe leg wound. The medical expenses had surpassed what the family could afford, leading them to call on well-wishers for help. Despite selling all their livestock, including goats and cows, and depleting their food reserves, the family was still unable to cover the full costs.

Mwangangi’s medical ordeal began earlier this year while he was in Nairobi, hustling to make a living. What started as a small pimple on his leg quickly escalated into a serious wound, spreading from his ankle to his knee. The wound grew worse, and after seeking medical attention, the costs associated with his treatment piled up, leaving his family in a desperate financial situation.

In their time of need, Dr. Irene Kasalu responded to the family’s plea for assistance by fully settling Mwangangi’s hospital bill. Her intervention came at a critical moment when the family had exhausted all their resources and had little hope left. Her generosity not only lifted a financial burden but also restored hope for the family, who had been struggling for months to find a solution.

The family expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Kasalu for coming through when they needed help the most. They appreciated her kindness and willingness to support them during such a difficult time. Mwangangi’s relatives are now focused on his recovery and are hopeful that with the medical bills behind them, they can rebuild their lives.
