A somber atmosphere over Mwingi North constituency, especially in Tseikuru following the demise of Sammy Kinyungu famously known as Motonyi, Father to Hon Mercy Muema , A wiper nominated MCA Kitui County.
He was confirmed dead yesterday 11th February 2023, at around 10 o’clock over cardiac arrest.
The family has confirmed it that Motonyi died on the way to Kyuso Sub county hospital. Efforts by medics to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
The Veteran politician and former Councilor dies at the age of 90 years , also he In-law to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking Exclusively to Hopkin Digital, the family described the death as a low moment for their family and said they had lost an important person in their life.
His death comes barely two days after burial of Kalonzo Musyoka’s brother in law buried another in-law on Saturday in Kasaala Location, Ikutha in Kitui South sub county.
