The County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya who is also the Chairperson of the County Assembly Service Board On Saturday 11th March 2023, eulogized the late James Muimi Musyimi as a dedicated and hardworking employee who left an indelible mark for his selfless service in the County Assembly of Kitui.
On his part, the Clerk of Assembly Mr. Elijah Mutambuki said that Mr. Musyimi was not just a staff but a friend to many and a very dedicated staff.
‘’Indeed, Musyimi’s kindness and sense of humor will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him”, added Mr. Mutambuki. ‘’A part from being my junior, I have also had an opportunity to learn a lot from him’’, reiterated Mr. Mutambuki.
Mr. Musyimi who was the Senior Internal Auditor in the County Assembly, died 1st of March after a long illness. Musyimi’s remains have been laid to rest in his Katooni village home in Mumoni Ward, Kitui County.
His funeral was also attended by Mwingi North Member of Parliament Hon. Paul Musyimi Nzengu, Area Member of the County Assembly Hon. Titus Kasinga, Deputy Clerk of the Assembly Lucy Waema, Principal Finance Officer Mr. Augustus Kyenze, Principal Human Resource Officer Mr. Erastus Ndeleva, over fifty County Assembly staff members among other leaders.
