As newly trained contractors graduates today, on the other hand 704 village elders, 20 senior supervisors, 40 ward based supervisors and their assistants across the county are currently camping at ward agricultural offices making numerous calls demanding their money after they conducted county farmers enumeration exercise that concluded two months ago.
According to documents in our possession the team owes the county government over Ksh 17 Million which is held hostage, alleging Agriculture Waziri Stephen Mbaya, and Chief Officer In charge of agriculture have turned a deaf ear to them.
“We have not received any tentative communication about our payments”, Hopkin Delivers.
Speaking exclusively with Hopkindigital.com, the village elders are calling governor Malombe for quick intervention be paid their dues saying government has neglected them yet they did a lot of work in ensuring every household was visited by the enumerators in the community, adding they have a huge challenge of getting payments after the exercise.
The team worked for 25 days each.Â
