Why Kitui Teachers Principal Visit To Governor Malombe Remains Wrapped Up

Kitui governor Dr Julius Malombe (EGH) and Madam Catherine Irungu, principal Kitui teachers training collage held a tete-a-tete meeting in governor’s office on Monday 29th May, 2023.

The details of the tete-a-ate are yet to be made public but credible sources have said that they held lengthy discussions on matters of the current state of the collage among others issues.

The collage in last week has been the talk over allegations that’s it’s towards closure due to lack of staff and students as well.Madam Irungu is expected to retire early June this year after joining Kitui teachers training collage fraternity early 2018.

According to our reliable source revealed that the collage has not been paying its Staff for the last ten months causing the depressed workers greatly affected since they have active loans with various banks and other saccos.The lending institutions have been threatening to sell their properties.

“We are also finding it difficult to meet our basic needs e.g rent purchase of food, payment of school fees for our children in primary, secondary, college and university life has become very miserable for us even attempted to commit suicide like Denis”, Hopkin Digital Reports.

On 26th June 2021 more than 25 employees were given indefinite leave which it’s alleged to be unprocedural since the board of management and ministry of education were not aware.
