Miambani Ward MCA Hon. Alex Nganga and Youth and sports chief officer Nason Kang’alya on Thursday, 11th December, led residents in validating priority projects under the Community Level Infrastructure Development Programme (CLIDP) for the 2026/2027 financial year. The meeting, held at the ward level, brought together local leaders, ward development committee members, and residents to review development proposals and confirm the most pressing needs for implementation in the upcoming year.

The validation exercise is part of a countywide public participation initiative being conducted across all 40 wards of Kitui County, aimed at ensuring that development planning remains transparent and community-driven. During the session, residents had the opportunity to engage directly with technical officers, scrutinize proposed projects, and make recommendations based on urgent local needs.

Chief Officer for Youth and Sports, Nason Kang’alyia, who led the technical delegation, reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to inclusive governance. He noted that the administration is prioritizing projects with high community impact and emphasized that residents’ contributions will guide the budgeting and execution process for the new financial year.

MCA Ng’ang’a lauded Governor Julius Malombe for the ongoing development programs in Miambani Ward, saying the governor’s administration has demonstrated consistency in delivering tangible results. He urged residents to remain engaged in public participation forums, assuring them that he will continue advocating for the ward’s priorities at the County Assembly as the budgeting process moves forward.
