Ikanga Kyatune Ward MCA and Kitui South’s Wiper Party strongman, Hon. Cyrus Musyoka Sonko, on Thursday accompanied Wiper Party Leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to Kang’o ka Jaramongi in Siaya County to condole with the family of Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
The delegation visited the Odinga home following the passing of a close relative, a move that underscored the long-standing political and personal ties between the Kalonzo and Odinga families.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Sonko reaffirmed Ukambani’s unwavering support for the Wiper boss, noting that the region remains solidly united behind Kalonzo’s national leadership ambitions.
“Kalonzos support in Ukambani should be at 100 percent. He is our leader and our voice at the national table,” Sonko said, emphasizing the growing political consolidation within the Wiper Party in Kitui South and beyond.
The condolence visit also highlighted Kalonzo’s continued efforts to strengthen unity within the Azimio coalition, even as leaders from across the country joined in expressing solidarity with the Odinga family.
