Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, hosted Ambassador Lynette Mwende Ndile, Deputy Head of Mission at the Kenya Embassy in Beijing, China, for discussions on strengthening development cooperation between the National and County Governments.
The meeting focused on youth skilling, infrastructure development, and other priority areas, with a particular emphasis on enhancing Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to foster collaboration between the National Government, County Government, and development partners. This initiative aims to improve infrastructure, upgrade curricula, and expand access to quality training in the county’s Vocational Training Centres (VTCs).
Governor Malombe underscored the importance of developing a clear strategic roadmap to guide the county’s transformation agenda. He reaffirmed his full support for the initiative and commended Ambassador Ndile for her proactive approach in working with his administration to unlock opportunities and optimize outcomes for the people of Kitui.
