Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has today achieved yet another milestone in his mission to bring quality healthcare closer to the people with the official commissioning of the Kimela Dispensary in Ngomeni Ward, Mwingi North.

For years, residents of Kimela and surrounding villages were forced to trek 25 kilometers to Kyuso in search of basic medical services. With the new facility now operational, families will access outpatient care, maternal health services, and preventive healthcare within their community.

Governor Malombe reaffirmed that the project is part of his broader agenda to deliver the Kitui Promise Manifesto, ensuring that every village in the county has a health facility within reach.

“No family in Kitui should walk long distances for treatment. My government is working tirelessly to expand health infrastructure and make healthcare accessible to all,” Governor Malombe said.

Area MCA Nzungi Ngwele, alongside other local leaders and community members, praised the Governor for prioritizing health in remote areas and delivering on promises that directly improve people’s lives.

The commissioning of Kimela Dispensary adds to the growing list of health facilities completed under Governor Malombe’s administration, cementing his reputation as a development-focused leader who is transforming Kitui through action.
