Police in Kitui South have arrested a suspected drug trafficker following a successful raid in Malana village, Kyatune Location. The operation was carried out by officers from Kyatune Police Post working jointly with National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs), after receiving a tip-off from members of the public.
According to the officers, a thorough search was conducted at the suspect’s homestead, where 12 bundles of cannabis sativa (bhang) concealed in a sack were recovered. The haul was seized and taken as evidence.
The suspect was arrested on the spot and placed in custody at Kyatune Police Post. He is expected to be processed and arraigned in court, while the narcotics remain secured at the station as investigations continue.
