Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has commissioned two new health facilities in Nguni Ward, Mwingi Central Sub-County, in a move aimed at bringing quality healthcare closer to residents. The Governor officially opened the Masavi Dispensary and the Sosoma Dispensary, both designed to ease access to medical services and improve community welfare.

The Masavi Dispensary, which will also offer maternity services, is expected to significantly reduce the burden on mothers and families who have long traveled long distances in search of care. At the same time, Sosoma Dispensary will provide essential outpatient services to the community, further boosting access to healthcare in the area.

Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Malombe said the facilities were part of the promises he made to the people of Nguni Ward. He expressed satisfaction in delivering on them, further highlighting other completed projects such as the Masavi Borehole, which was implemented under his administration to supply clean water to local households.

“This is not just about infrastructure, but about transforming lives. Quality healthcare and access to clean water are the foundation of a thriving community,” the Governor said.

Area MCA Jeremiah Mutua praised the Governor’s leadership, describing the two facilities as a milestone achievement for Nguni Ward.

“This is proof to those who doubt that development is happening here. I can point to dozens of projects delivered under Governor Malombe’s administration,” he said.
